A Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) is a test certificate that shows whether a welder possesses the necessary experience and knowledge to perform the specifications of a particular weld procedure.
The scope of the WPQ test varies depending on the weld procedure, but it generally involves non-destructive and destructive testing. To completed this procedure, the need of staff required includes chemists, engineers and NDT inspectors. The on-site, full-service machine shop can prepare any size weld coupon for testing. After passing required tests, they will issue you a qualification certificate.
